Sooo happy I ordered this coffee funnel. I wondered if the pre-ground coffee I buy at the grocery would work or would there be grounds in my cup. Would it possibly break at the tip of the funnel? I had read reviews of other funnels that did that. How slow would it be for the water to drain through.
But this funnel is awesome! I no longer use and throw out paper filters, there are no grounds in my coffee, AND this funnel comes in two pieces, so there is no way for it to break at the tip! Plus stainless steel is easy to clean. I do "bloom" the grounds by pouring some water on the grounds and letting it sit for ~30 seconds, before pouring the rest of the water. And the water goes through in the same time it took for it with a paper filter, and the coffee tastes great.
