The stainless steel material is the same material used in the food, wine and beverage industry. It is BPA-free so it will not leech or let dangerous toxins soak into the material. The quality of the bottle is wonderful. It's solid and sturdy, yet it does not weigh a lot. When you fill it up you can carry it comfortably. Even the diameter of the bottle is just the right size for easy holding.It comes with a large wide mouth opening making it perfect for pouring liquids and placing ice cubes into the bottle and the double walled insulation helps keep temperatures in for up to 12 hours. I tested it out with cold and hot drinks, and both kept their temperature for a seriously long time. I was very impressed with that. The outside of the bottle does not change temperature either no matter how hot or cold things are on the inside. No burned or cold hands that way.
