This is darling. It's a ball, it's a mushroom, it's a nightlight, it's a decoration; it's not only for babies and kids (since I'm not one). It's USB charged. The base looks like a light wood. Since the only instructions that came with it are in Chinese, it took me a while to figure out that there are timer modes and also a mode to change the colors. I was starting to write the seller to ask if it rotated through the colors and that's when I fiddled with it more and figured it out. Here's the scoop - press the silver button to turn it on then press it again and it changes colors (sounds easier than it really was). By pressing the button again and again it changes to a solid color. By pressing really quick you get the timer modes, and the little dots above the button light up. A long press turns it off, whew.
This reminds me of a diffuser with a plastic top that changes colors. The silicone is a dust catcher though. It really needs to have instructions in English (I thought about taking a star away because of the lack of instructions, but it's just so darn cute). I really like it, especially now that I got it to change colors. :-)
