This is a very nice solid and well-built set of shears. I have scissors at home, but they do not hold up to a set of shears like this.
These have several built in functions vs just cutting like my normal scissors.

These can be used for cutting heavy duty items such as meat, veggies, etc. (Great for trimming fat on your meat like chicken.) Another reason the heavy duty nature is nice is because the need to drag out a cutting board and larger knife is minimized greatly.
