When Ivation offered a promo for this water bottle I accepted, because I wanted to see how they compare to the other brands that cost much more. I'm very pleased with the quality of this build. It is stainless steel with grey powder-coat, smooth exterior. I am used to the textured finish on the Hydro Flask black bottle, so the smooth finish of this simian bottle took getting used to. It felt slippery to me at first, but isn't really. The cap fits well, no leaks, and I've been carrying it from the plastic band for several weeks and it feels secure and strong. Take a look around Amazon for insulated stainless steel bottles and you'll see there are many many choices. Feel confident with the Ivation bottle. It's well built and costs much less than the other brands. I was provided a discount in exchange for testing and providing my honest review.
