I am happy to say that this light actually works as advertised. It turns on when motion is detected and only works when it is in the dark.

This light showed up in a nice little box with detailed english instructions and a circle of adhesive tape. It is advertised as 3M, but nothing on the tape itself says 3M. The build quality seems sufficient for this light. A sturdy plastic housing encases the 6 LED lights. The lights are behind a frosted type lens that does a good job keeping the glare down. In the center of the lens is the light and motion sensor. The rear of the light is removable and houses the roughly dime sized magnet. It is removed by turning in a counterclockwise motion. The magnet is strong enough to hold the light in any desired position, including upside down. The unit measures approx 3 1/8" across by 3/4" thick.

Operating the unit is very simple, install three of your own AAA batteries and put it where desired. There is no on/off switch or any buttons. The light will only operate in a dark location thanks to the built-in light sensor. Once the light senses motion in a dark area, it will come on for about 13 - 17 seconds. I was able to trip the trip the motion sensor from about 5' away with the unit facing directly at me and has a surprisingly wide field of detection.

This is not going to be something that you use to illuminate your driveway, a room, or use to read a book. It is a small light with very minimal run time. I feel this is perfect for a pantry, inside of a cabinet, or maybe near your electrical panel. Based on the limited run time and size of the LEDs, I feel that the battery life will be adequate. I will update if it is outside of that expectation. I have no reason to not recommend this light.
