They do the trick, but could stand to be just a tiny bit thinner for my brakes.olds disc pads in place during wheel maintenance and repair. This is one of those items that is not "needed" and lives on as more of a want. They are definitely helpful to have but business cards or some other narrow object could work just as well.They get the job done though, and since these things are hard to find, I'm happy enough.
