This ropeless jump rope definitely grew on me. If you've never used a ropeless jump rope before it may feel a bit awkward at first. I personally don't have any problems with this, but my husband tried it and he seemed to have some issues getting the rhythm down. That potential awkwardness is the only reason I give it 4/5 instead of 5/5. I personally had no problems using this just as I would an actual jump rope and I LOVE that I don't have to stop every 45 seconds or so from tripping on the rope. I tend to get frustrated easily so if I'm having one of those days that it's just not working for me I'm likely to just drop the rope and go do something else. Jumping rope is a great workout and now I can get my cardio & heart-rate up and keep it there without stopping. I also like that the handles are a bit weighted. It is enough to give my arms a bit of an extra workout, but not so much that it feels impossible. I received this item at a discounted rate in exchange for an honest review and I'm glad to have it to add to my workout regime. It's a convenient piece that is extremely portable. It also won't leave scuffs on the floor like jump ropes do! And, it will never be a tangled mess.
