This is an amazing combination. Perfect for chilled wines. Now I can keep my wine chilled and pour it at the same time. It really does keep your wine cold for about an hour! I like to keep the chill rod in the freezer and take out when I want to have a glass of chilled wine. The actual rubber stopper fits into the bottle neck, very easy to put together and take part, and clean.
I was a little skeptical, as there are so many gadgets out there and they all claim this and that. So, I was surprised to see this worked.
It can be used for both white and red wine. For white wine, it is advisable that the wine to be refrigerated already, and this would maintain it chilled. However, I'm a red wine drinker, so that's what I use it for. Red wine is kinda tricky to get a good temperature, as room temperature is too warm (and I live in Florida, so even with A/C still not under 70 degrees!) and the fridge is too cold. The other solution I knew would be to buy a wine chiller/fridge. That just seemed like a waste of money, wasting money buying it and wasting electricity, since I don't drink that often.
